Women in Engineering Workshop

On June 23, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering proudly hosted a transformative event — the Women in Engineering Workshop — aimed at empowering and motivating female students in engineering and architecture. The event brought together students and professionals to share stories, build connections, and explore strategies for success in the field.

The day began with an inspirational keynote speech, highlighting the critical role women play in STEM and encouraging students to pursue their goals with resilience and purpose.

A key highlight of the workshop was the panel discussion titled “Women in Engineering: Leadership, Inspiration”. This engaging session featured accomplished women from engineering and architecture who openly discussed the real-world challenges they’ve faced, including gender bias, career progression, and work-life balance.

Panelists also shared valuable advice on the essential skills students should develop during their university years — such as communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership. They offered thoughtful guidance on how to navigate future professional environments and overcome obstacles with confidence.

Throughout the event, there was a strong sense of community, mentorship, and support. Students were encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their aspirations, and connect with role models who had once walked the same path.

The Women in Engineering Workshop created a safe and empowering space for learning and dialogue — leaving participants inspired and equipped to embrace their future in STEM with clarity and confidence..
